Treatment of male and female pattern baldness, androgenic alopecia. Treatment of hair loss, and localized baldness.

Minox 5 is for external use only, applied to the scalp, twice daily (12/12h), when the hair is completely dry.
The dose for one application is 1 mL of the drug (corresponding to 30 drops), regardless of the size of the treated area, using the fingers to rub the product from the center outwards of the scalp.
The recommended daily dose is 2 mL and should not be exceeded, as this may lead to the risk of systemic effects.
In case of missed doses, continue to use, without doubling the dose. The duration of treatment is about one year; the best results are observed at the end of this period. The use of minoxidil 5% should be discontinued if hair growth is not verified after 4 months of use.
To maintain and improve the benefits achieved, it is recommended to continue using it twice daily after the attack phase, which can last about 6 months.
Treatment with Minox 5 can be started, according to the criteria and clinical assessment of hair loss.
The treatment phase may cause the initial hair loss to return after 3 to 4 months.
Experience has shown that the earlier the treatment is started, the better the results, given the fact that more hair follicles are likely to respond to the drug. On the other hand, the condition of the hair, the duration of hair loss and the area treated also play a role in achieving an acceptable cosmetic result.
